REMAINING haze
Carla Harrison is a UK-based multimedia photographer whose practice integrates photography and creative techniques to explore themes of memory, nostalgia, and perception. Through different methods of obscurity, she creates work that merge atmospheric imagery with subtle distortion, producing compositions that feel both familiar and elusive.
Her work often depicts incomplete or obscured locations, reflecting the way memories fade, shift and resurface. By intentionally reducing clarity within her imagery, Harrison invites viewers to engage in personal reflection, transforming the work into a shared emotional space rather than a straightforward record of the past.
She has participated in group exhibitions at several galleries, including Auger Collective, BAD Space Bournemouth, and Copeland Park. Harrison has further received a BA (Hons) in Photography from the acknowledged Arts University Bournemouth.
