Emily Turner is a UK - based artist and photographer whose practice explores themes of natural decay, material transformation and sustainability within the photographic industry. Her current work focuses on the development of self made sustainable materials, including biodegradable plastics and handmade paper, which function as experimental printing surfaces. Through this process, Turner challenges the assumed permanence of the photographic image. By allowing materials to degrade and change over time, her work highlights the fragile nature of both images and the environments they represent.
